Chapter two
The emotion, the celebration and what remains
The ceremony gathers everything that came before it: the waiting, the presence and the emotion of recognising one another at a decisive moment. A single glance can hold more than words, and silence can become the most intense part of the story.
After the intensity of the ceremony, the day opens up. Embraces become freer, laughter fills the space and the celebration draws everyone into a shared rhythm.
I photograph the energy of the celebration along with the quieter moments that keep surfacing within it. What remains is not a sequence of perfect poses, but the warmth of the people, the atmosphere and the feeling of having been there.
A photograph keeps the echo of the celebration long after the music has stopped.
