The winery sits on the Colline Novaresi, the first rise you meet coming down from the lake. Only a few kilometres separate the water from the vines, and the light changes completely.
Fields and vine rows open up all around the property: wide backdrops with no architecture to interrupt them, where ten minutes on foot are enough to change the frame three times.
A wedding at the winery, between vines and farmhouse
Azienda Vitivinicola Enrico Crola stands on Via Vergiasca, in Mezzomerico, and holds together two things that usually stay apart: a winery and a farmhouse. Tastings and vineyard visits are held here, there is a kitchen service, and the same estate hosts weddings and corporate events.
The wedding reception is held between the courtyard and the vine rows, with the Novara countryside all around and no building closing off the horizon. This is a venue that gives its best over long hours: the aperitif with the sun still high, the portraits as the light drops between the vines, the party carrying on once the vineyard is only a dark outline.
The day keeps moving: from the church to the winery, from the fields to the dance floor. My job is not to lose the thread, and not to stop watching the small details precisely when everything is happening at once.
